Script for school

[Laika]

In our drama class we have to perform a musical. So we decided to all come up with one song from a musical we like and then we would use them all. I then had the job of linking the songs together with the script and writing the script.

It's based of Grease a little. It's target audience is about 10-12 year of age.

So I would love it if you guys would give me some feedback please. Good or bad, anything. :3 (one of the song lyrics is missing because the boys have not edited it yet)

*The stage is litter with pillows, blankets and bowls of popcorn and bottles of coke. There's a bed that is facing sideways to the audience. Sarah is lying on the bed in her Pjs. *

Sarah- *Laying on her bed with the phone ringing*

Stevie- “Hello?” *Jumping a skipping rope. Stevie is placed over in one of the corners of the floors*

Sarah- “Stevie, It's Sarah, I'm having a sleepover, so you better get here quick. Don't forget to bring the girls. This is going to be the best sleepover ever!” *hangs up*

Stevie- *stands up and stands at the steps and blows a whistle* “Girls!”

*All the girls come on in one big bunch from the main doors- except Elle*

Stevie- “Girls! All get in line! We have a sleepover to get to, so straighten yourselves up! Do you hear me?” *orders them*

*All the girls except Daisy* “Yes, Ma'am” *salute and get into line*

Daisy- “Yes, sir!” *Salutes* “Oops, Yes, ma'am” *shyly gets back into line*

Stevie-*shakes her head as she pulls out a list of name on a clipboard* “Jane?”

Jane -”Howdy!” *Nods with a hat greeting*

Stevie- “Roxie?”

Roxie- “I'm here, darlings, and I look fabulous” *winks*

Stevie- “Daisy?”

Daisy- “I'm here!” *Really enthusiastic*

Stevie- “Kim?”

Kim- “Here. Can we just go now? I'm can feel myself losing brain cells next to Daisy”

Daisy- “Wha?” *looks confused*

Stevie- “We're all here, so move out!” *Takes lead and marches the girls over to side stage. They knock the door*

Sarah- *Answers the doors* “Girls, Welcome to the best sleepover ever!”

*All the girls come in and settle themselves down around the room*

Jane- “I hope ya all don't mind but I invited a friend of mine over. My ma' and I went to get her from Chicago this morning, she'll be over later. She's new to town, so ya all better be nice to her”

Kim-” What's it like in the big city?”

*Windy City- song*

I just blew in from the windy city

*There's a knock on the door*

Elle- “I'm sorry if I'm interrupting” *slowly walks into the room shyly*

Jane- *smiles* “Everybody, this is Elle. Now be on ya best behaviour”

Elle- “Hi” *says shyly*

Jane-*sits Elle and herself down*

Sarah- “So, what made you down here then, Elle?”

Elle- “I'm just here for the summer”

Daisy- “Omigod guys, we can take her shopping, get her haircut, her nails-”

Kim- “Shut your trap, Daisy” *snaps at her*

Daisy- “Sorry” *giggles*

Stevie- “Ever been here before?”

Elle- “Yes. I came here last summer” *says dreamily* “And I met the most wondrous man.” *blushes*

Daisy- “Omigod, who? Who? Who? Tell us!”

Kim- “Daisy, if you don't shut up I will give you a knuckle sandwich”

Daisy- “Sorry, Kimmy” *giggles*

Elle- “Well, it was a guy called “Jack”. He was so sweet and loving”

Stevie- “Jack? Really?” *looks shocked*

Elle- “Is that really hard to believe?” *looks innocent*

Roxie- “He isn't winning no grand prize, darling”

Daisy- “Who cares about that!? Go ask him out! You can spend a romantic dinner by the sea with candles and a little man playing a violin” *sighs warmly*
Elle- “Oh no. I can't do that. He probably doesn't even remember me”

Kim- “I wouldn't” *mumbles*

Sarah-*elbows Kim* “You should ask him”

Elle- “Oh I don't know. I'm afraid that he'll say no”

Kim- “ I would”

Elle- “Umm if you'll excuse me I need to use the bathroom” *gets up*

Sarah- “It's the first door on the left”

Elle- “Thank you” *leaves off stage*

Sarah- “I'm going to phone the boys” *laughs as she grabs her phone*

Daisy- “Kimmy, did you have to be such a meanie to Elle?”

Kim- “She's so innocent and boring. I can't stand girls like that”

Jack- “You take that one!” *playing a video game*

Jason- “That one, boss?”

Jack- “Of course that one!” *his phone rings. He answers the phone* “Hello?”

Sarah- “Jack, we're having a sleepover, so bring yourself and Jason over. It's not a party without you two!” *off stage*

Jack- “Of course it won't, babe. We'll be over soon” *hangs up the phone* “Jason, we have a party that requires us” *puts the controller down as he tidies his hair*

Jason- “With girls, boss?” *copies Jack*

Jack- “Yes, with lots of pretty women”

*Pretty women song*

*Both of the boys end up out the house. In front of the stage on the right*

Jason- “Is this the right the house, boss?”

Jack- “Of course it's the right house. I know where I'm going, Jason.” *looks up at the house and then throws a stone at it* “Girls!” *shouts in a hushed tone*

Sarah-”It's the boys!” *Her and all the girls run to the window and look out to the boys*

Roxie- “Hello you two” *says in a flirty tone*

Jack- “Fancy letting us in, girls”

Sarah- “You'll have to wait. We have a present for you” *pushes Elle outside*

*Jane and Sarah push Elle outside*

Elle- “Oh no you guys. I can't go meet him rig....” *she ends up infront of Jack. She looks a little shy* “Ummm hi, Jack”

Jack- “Elle? How are you here?” *looks shocked*

Elle- “I came down for the summer again”

Jack- “This is the best news. We can spend the whole summer together” *grabs her hands* “We can spends our nights at the sea dock and watch the stars like we used to do” *looks up as if the stars were there*

Elle- “It sounds wonderful, Jack....but once summer finishes I have to go back home” *sounds sad *

Jack- “Maybe you don't have to go back again. Maybe you can stay here with me” *smiles warningly at her*

Elle- “I don't know, Jack” *looks at the floor*

Jack- “Please, Elle,stay here with me” *pleads* “I want you to be with me”

Elle- “I want to be with you too”

Jack-”Then stay here with me”

Jason- “She's not even in our school, silly. How can she win if she's not part of the school?”

Sarah- “She'll join just to beat me. I'm going to be Prom Queen and there's nothing she can do about it”

Daisy- “Yay!” *gets up and grabs Elee's hands* “Now we can take you shopping and do lots of girly things together”

Sarah-*looks mad and goes to get up to punch Elle, but no one but stevie and Kim notices.*

Stevie- *grabs Sarah, putting her arms around her, to stop her punching Elle* “Sarah, stop this”

Sarah- “She's after the crown” *hisses*

Jason- “Now I will never be King if they're staying as a couple” *pouts*

Daisy- “Come on guys, we're all friends here.”

Jane- “She's right.” *nods*

Sarah + Jason- “Fine whatever” *They don't look pleased*

Stevie- “Good. Now lets all be friends. We're all in this together, right?”

Jane- “We sure are”
